JONATHAN WATSON is a director of unconventional comedic stories. His feature film debut was the darkcomedy thriller Arizona (Danny McBride, Rosemarie DeWitt), set in the midst of the real estate housingcrisis, which premiered at Sundance in 2018. He was the Producing Director on season 2 and 3 of Hulu’sTV series “Future Man,” a time travel action comedy about a janitor who is called upon to save the Earth.He directed multiple episodes of AMC’s “Preacher,” a supernatural, twisted comedic drama produced byEvan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. Jonathan most recently wrapped Season 3 of The Righteous Gemstones,taking on the role of Co-Executive Producer and Director through the season.

Jonathan’s natural affinity for storytelling and razor-sharp production prowess developed over more thantwo decades working as an AD on films including The Truman Show, Bad Boys, Bruce Almighty, 21 JumpStreet, The Green Hornet, and This Is The End. His close relationship with Jody Hill, David Gordon Greenand Danny McBride enabled him to transition from AD on “Eastbound & Down” to Executive Producer and2nd Unit Director on HBO’s ensemble comedy, “Vice Principles.”
